Hotel was in a good position for all amenities and very clean.
Breakfast slot was only half hour 8.30 to 9.00. Advertises piano bar but was never open to sit and have a drink although we were told we could ring bell for service and ask for drinks then take them to our room.

It was very clean and tidy, friendly, but not in your face , handy for the town and not far from the countryside and beaches.

We really enjoyed our night stay at the Hudson hotel, our room was lovelly, we were warmly welcomed, our breakfast was again excellent and we wished we had booked another night. It is a very short walk to the harbour and the town centre. We will deffinately stay at the Hudson when we return to Torquay

The comfort of the room coupled with the excellent breakfast meant that one was given very good value for money. I found the manager very helpful and of a pleasant nature. If I have need to visit Torquay again on business and need the convenience of only being a five minute walk from the harbour I would most certainly choose to stay in the same hotel and the same room.

Location. The Hotel has been recently refurbished to a high standard. Great room and breakfast. The onsite parking was full so I was given a pass to another car park just a few mins away (free!!!). Top marks for the Hudson as to value for money.

Nice people. Good place. Well laid out. Good service. A very good B and B, well appointed, comfortable, with good people running it.
The metal shutter on the dining, lunch, breakfast area is out of place – too like in warehouse for such an otherwise well styled interior. The mini suite bathroom has a shower cubicle. Yellow lines at the front, carrying luggage up steps, and distant parking requiring a £10 deposit may not be to everyone's liking. Ask the host to demonstrate hot water from the tap and shower, and how to make the radiator hot at bedtime.

Very comfortable rooms
We were a little disappointed that the Lounge and Bar were not open, especially over Bank Holiday Weekend. We would have liked to meet there and have a drink before going out.

We were immediately greeted and warmly welcomed. The room itself was very modern, clean and tidy and had a nice en-suite.

The clean rooms and amazing views were definite highlights. We visited a local beach and explored the nearby attractions. Just remember, breakfast choices need to be ordered the day before, but it's worth it!
The shower pressure was quite weak, a bit disappointing .
